Note for:   Charlotte Sperry,   5 SEP 1782 -          Index
Letters from step father Barnabas Rice to Charlotte's brother Miles tell us thatr she had 4 children. Her letters to Miles send love from their sister Chloe so it is assumed that Chloe lived near by.
One letter mentions that Chloe lives in "Farisburg, about 3 miles from Caleb Chappel's". Perhaps Caleb is the first name of Charloette's husband.

The following are parts of a letter she sent to her brother Miles before he married in 1800.
These parts are are all that remains of the letter.

Part I

Part II

But I am in haste but Uncle Tubbs will tell you where I live so you must tell Phebe that she once wrote to me to come and pick grapes with her but now she must come and pick with me--my compliments to all enquiring friends and to some that dont enquire so you must come to see us as soon as you can so no more at present only Chloe remembers her love to you
