Notes say she was "raised by" Asa & his wife. I assume this may mean she was not a natural child.

In the 1900 census, Asa & Mary have a granddaughter named Elvena Richard - age 3 - residing with them. This may be Ida's daughter.

Resided in Muncy, Pa.

I have had information provided to me that show Cora Jane & Charles as also the parents of:

Anna Lease b.1889, d.1979
Ceciel Lease b. 1891, d.1952
William b. 1917, d. 1918
All buried at Cherry Grove Cemetery in Sullivan County.

However, the 1900 census shows Cora & Charles as parents only to Brady & Ernest. It further states that Cora has had only 2 children at that point in time & that both are living. Clearly, Anna & Ceceil are not listed as their children even though according to the birthdates provided for them they would have been only 11 & 9 years old & living with their parents.

It is far more likely that Ceciel & Anna are WIVES of Ernest & Brady and that William was a child to one of these couples. There are graves for all names of the above at Cherry Grove. Even if these girls WERE daughters of Cora & Charles, is it likely that they would have never married & changed their last names?
