Little
Fellows Collide in Long Awaited Feature Clash at Fair Grounds Arena
Billy Speary of Nanticoke and Billy Davis of Minersville will weigh
in at 3 o'clock this afternoon, daylight saving time, at the Allentown
Fair Grounds, for their battle in the Fair Grounds arena tonight. Dr R A
Dengler, representing the state Athletic Commission, will officiate.
The contract calls for the men to weigh less than 133 pounds at that

information from his training camp, will weigh not over 132 and may be
down to 131.
The men will enter the ring at 10 o'clock for their eight round
contest. Four six-round bouts will precede the main event, as follow:
Fatsy Gall, Freeland vs. Young Armstrong, Philadelphia, lightweights;
Rocky Luciano, Harrisburg vs. Frank Bluis, Pottsville, and Joe Donofrio,
Freeland, vs. Al Maitz, Limeport, welterweights: Art Rettberg,
Batesville, N. J., vs. George Costciao, Harrisburg, heavyweights.
Ticket Information
Ringside and reserved grandstand tickets will remain on sale at the
downtown stations only until 4 o'clock this afternoon. The stations are
the Witwer and Jones store, Colonial barber shop and Bucky Boyle's. At
the Ritz Barbecue on the Fair Grounds, they can be purchased up to 6
o'clock.
The main ticket office on the Fair Grounds opens at 6 o'clock, the
gates at 7 and the first bout goes on at 8:45
o'clock daylight saving
time.
Patrons, who have ordered tickets but have not lifted them by 4
o'clock this afternoon, are urged to do so before 8 o'clock this evening
at the Fair Grounds in order to avoid congestion at the box office
there.
The bout is the outstanding contest since professional boxing was
revived here and indications are it will attract the greatest crowd in
the history of boxing in the Lehigh Valley.
